Vice President Hotel Operations – Italy

“Opening or Development” experience desired

A highly respected real estate owning and management group, with hotels, resorts and casinos in the USA (Ritz Carlton Hotels), Caribbean and in Europe, seeks an opening VP Operations for their newest acquired and renovated hotel near Rome.

The ideal person to fit into their culture must be fluent in Italian, strong on operational standards and with International experience in luxury brands visible on their resume, such as Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, St. Regis, Mandarin Oriental, etc. or The Leading Hotels of the World Hotels. 

The VP of Operations will be responsible for the overall success of this property. Hence, opening or renovation experience is a major plus. He or she must be able to exceed planned objectives for revenue and profit, and ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality.

Your role is to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality, and provide exemplary performance for staff to follow.

The VP of Operations should be a leader who is very hands on, with an active on-site management style, good relationship building skills and great references from previous employers.

Important Requirements:

  • ·Working experience in Italy and Internationally, is one of the top requirements! 
  • ·USA experience is a plus.
  • ·Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury brands as VP Operations or similar.
  • ·Must have the ability to work under pressure, as Italy is very competitive and therefore, must be very sales, marketing and revenue driven.
  • ·Very proactive, visible in the hotel, and enjoy working with an educated owner.
  • ·Must lead by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
  • ·Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals, balancing cost.
  • ·Comply with all corporate accounting procedures.
  • ·Meet or exceeds budgeted profit and margin for hotels.
  • ·Perform hands-on duties as needed to deliver guest services.
  • ·Entrepreneurial approach to business
