Executive Sous Chef required for Silversea Cruises a 6* Luxury Cruise Ship
We are currently searching for an experienced Executive Sous Chef who can manage a large galley with a number of smaller individual outlets as well. From buffet to fine dining, your role is to ensure that every plate is up to our very high standards, meets both presentation and taste expectations and the galley meets all health, safety and food hygiene standards.
As the Number 2 in the department, you will also manage all food hygiene inspections, stock control, ordering, rostering and general admin.
The role is diverse and as a chef and manager, you would need to be to!
To be considered for this position, you would require:
A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management chef role in a large fast paced establishment, where high quality is the norm
Have experience of working in a multi-national team
Work with regularly changing menus (on ships they change daily)
Training and developing of team
Good computer skills
Fluent English
Culinary qualifications
Contracts are 4 months on and 2 months off, all flights, meals, uniforms and single accommodation provided.
