Spanish Speaking ‘all-inclusive & multi-unit’ Senior Director of Sales & Marketing

Dominican Republic

A well respected European hospitality and real estate Group, with properties in Europe and the Caribbean seeks a senior Spanish speaking Director of Sales & Marketing for their true 5 star “all-inclusive" resorts located on the beautiful beaches of the Dominican Republic. A proven track record of managing similar resorts specifically in the Caribbean is mandatory.

As this is a small hotel group, this is a stand-alone role with no corporate interference. You are expected to run the Sales & Marketing division from A-Z. You must be hands on and work without direction. If you have worked with an independent hotel, you certainly will understand.

These are “all inclusive” resorts, so the company prefers a Director of Sales & Marketing with previous or current experience in similar properties in the Caribbean. Experience in managing a small/medium team will be considered a huge asset, along with good leadership and management skills, cost control management, high organization and planning skills.

The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of steady experience in a similar multi-unit role or currently be in a position of Director of Sales and Marketing in a large resort in a Leisure/Tour Operators destination.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years resort/hotel experience.

  • Experience of being in charge of Leisure/Tour Operators and Incentive segment in the Caribbean.

  • Ability and experience in man management at least for a small/medium team of Sales Managers.

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Ability to develop and manage key Tour Operators.

  • Team player and good people and leadership skills.

  • Existing network of industry contacts.

  • Good data management & IT skills.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels within and without the organization.

  • Flexible approach to working hours and travel.

Salary: Very Negotiable, as company can negotiate and pay whatever it takes to attract someone who can attract business immediately!
