Cluster Director of Hotel  Human Resources – S. California, USA

**Must be a US citizen, or Green card holder to apply for this role**

A well established and successful Hotel, real estate and property development company, with luxury hotels and residences, , seeks a Corporate Director Human Resources who will assist with the opening of their flagship hotel in Southern California.

The primary role of the Cluster Director of Human Resources will be to open the large branded full service luxury hotel and provide leadership and coordination of company Human Resource functions, as well as develop and implement HR strategies and programs. The other responsibilities will be to oversee their two existing full and limited service hotels and office buildings.

Mandatory Requirements:

1.Unionized hotel environment know-how is mandatory

2.Work history in California is also mandatory

3.Extensive  Hotel experience, and Hotel opening knowledge is a major plus

        Other Requirements:   

  • A University Degree in a related discipline / or professional Human Resource designation.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior Human Resources role.

  • Computer literate with a proficiency in a computerized payroll system.

  • A proven track record of career progress and stability is also essential.

  • Hands-on, a great team player and enjoys being part of a winning team.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. The main focus of this role will be to open a large branded hotel and oversee the HR departments in the company’s other holdings and create company strategic recruitment and selection plan.

  2. Coordinate company equal opportunity programs to achieve diversity goals.

  3. Create company strategic training and organizational development plan to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of company employees.

  4. Oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.

  5. Oversee the design and development of compensation strategy and programs.

  6. Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit programs.

  7. Evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management.

  8. Recommend and maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives.

  9. Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectives.

  10. Evaluate and recommend human resource outsourcing opportunities and identify potential vendors.

  11. Develop and manage annual budgets for the division and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.

  12. Recommend and establish company policies and procedures.
