Description

Our client, a luxury resort in the Caribbean requires a seasoned Hospitality Engineering professional for the role of 

Director of Facilities & Property Management

He/she will be responsible for all matters related to maintaining the facilities of the entire resort, including, but not limited to, physical building structures, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems. The ideal candidate must have experience in managing the POMEC and Utilities operational budgets. He/she will also be responsible for all capital expenditure projects. The preferred candidate should come from a luxury resort background preferably in the Caribbean. He/she will also be responsible for the leadership of the day to day operations of the Engineering department and overall property management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Takes the lead on all internal projects pertaining to the facilities of the resort.
  • ·Develops, implements and monitors a preventive maintenance program for all buildings, grounds, equipment, and guestrooms.
  • Assists with the POMEC operational and capital budgets, according to the operations requirements of the resort in consultation with the GM and Executive committee.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, operations and repair of the entire resort's mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Conducts routine inspections and walk-throughs of all hotel rooms and public areas with an aim to ensuring that all areas are in immaculate condition. Weekly inspection/walk-through report to be submitted to the Managing Director.
  • Evaluates the performance of maintenance staff and takes corrective action, in a timely manner
  • Responsible for purchase orders in keeping with forecasts and/or budgets 
  • Responsible for all utility consumption, ensuring optimum energy usage for the entire resort.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ·Education:   Bachelor’s Degree/ or Technical school degree
  • ·Experience: Minimum of 6/7 years as HOD in luxury hotel/resort Engineering department/Facility
  • ·Certificates: Microsoft Office; EMS and/or Facilities Management system certification

SALARY PACKAGE:

USD $125K per annum (Commensurate with experience) plus a housing allowance of USD 3000 and other ex-patriate benefits
